Lauren Sánchez, now married to Jeff Bezos, was spotted out Thursday night having dinner with her former NFL partner Tony Gonzalez their son, Nikko Gonzalez.
And honestly? Everybody looked extremely calm for a group that could easily headline its own reality show.
Photos showed the trio walking together to Sushi Park, one of those celebrity hot spots where famous people go to pretend they are having a low-key dinner while paparazzi magically appear outside every five minutes.
Lauren kept things casual for the outing. Well, “casual” in celebrity language. She rocked a royal blue jacket with white pants, styled her hair in a high ponytail, and topped the whole look off with oversized dark shades.
Meanwhile, Gonzalez pulled up in a gray polo sweater and jeans, looking like the calm retired athlete who already knows cameras are going to show up no matter what he wears.
The whole dinner outing quickly got people online talking, not because there was drama, but because there wasn’t drama.
People were basically staring at the photos waiting for hidden tension that never arrived.
Nikko and his NFL star dad followed closely behind and the 25-year-old seemingly took a page from his stepdad Jeff Bezos’ fashion handbook and went with a basic black T-shirt and jeans.
Sánchez is also mom to son Evan, 19, and daughter Ella, 18, both of whom she shares with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell.
The former broadcaster and Gonzalez broke up shortly after they welcomed Nikko in February 2001.
The parents have remained close over the years despite their romance not working out.
In a January 2023 WSJ. magazine interview, Sánchez called Gonzalez her “best friend.”
At the end of the day, it was a reminder that celebrity families can sometimes function normally, even when the family tree starts looking like a crossover episode written by Netflix executives after midnight.
