Knicks Fans Tell Reporter Cheyenne Corin To Join Knicks After ‘Mobbing’ Her During Live Broadcast

New York sports fans are truly built different. One minute they are screaming in your face during a live TV broadcast, the next minute they are sending flowers like somebody’s ex-boyfriend after a bad breakup. That is exactly what happened to Cheyenne Corin after a wild encounter with celebrating New York Knicks fans.

The Philly reporter was simply trying to do her job after the Knicks wrapped up their Eastern Conference semifinal series. Seems simple enough, right? Wrong. The moment Corin went live inside Xfinity Mobile Arena, Knicks fans treated the broadcast like it was their personal victory parade.

Fans ‘mobbed’ the poor reporter while she was attempting to recap Game 4. Loud chants, random yelling, arms waving in the background.

Sports reporters deserve hazard pay during playoff season, especially when New York fans are involved. Those people celebrate like they personally dropped 35 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

To her credit, Cheyenne Corin stayed professional through the chaos. While fans screamed around her like they had consumed six energy drinks and zero sleep, she kept delivering her report. That takes real skill because most people would have started laughing halfway through.

But then came the plot twist nobody expected: Knicks fans woke up the next morning and realized they had turned this woman’s live segment into a WWE entrance scene, so they decided to make peace the only way passionate sports fans know how: with flowers and recruiting efforts.

Corin went on social media Sunday morning to let people know that, in the aftermath of the event, Knicks fans sent her flowers with a note.

“As if trolling me on live television wasn’t enough, I get a notification from security at the news station telling me that I have a bouquet of flowers that was delivered,” she said with a smirk. “So then I go look at the card, and it says, ‘You handled that like a New Yorker… come to the winning team, signed Knicks in four.’”

Corin continued, “I don’t know how to feel about this. Y’all won the game, you moved on to the next round, we’ll see you next season, I don’t know the need for this.”

Corin later added that the person didn’t reveal themselves, but asked for them to do so in the comments.

“This is crazy, y’all are nuts,” she said with a smile.

She did make clear on her Instagram that she will not be turning into a Knicks fan or a New Yorker despite the gesture, but she’ll take it as a “peace offering.”

Only in sports can a reporter get mobbed on live television and somehow end up receiving flowers like she just survived a romantic comedy subplot.
