Tyreek Hill and Sophie Hall Settled Case After She Admitted Having Sex With Him After She Broke Her Leg

Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has settled a civil lawsuit filed by social media influencer Sophie Hall, who accused him of breaking her leg during backyard football drills at his South Florida home in 2023.

The settlement was reached Friday during the second day of testimony in Broward County Circuit Court, court records and attorneys confirmed. Hall agreed to dismiss her claims of assault and battery. Hill agreed to settle her negligence claim for an undisclosed amount.

As he left the courtroom, Hill, 32, smiled and told reporters, “I’m going to Disney World.”

Hall, 36, a model and influencer with more than 2.3 million Instagram followers, filed the lawsuit in February 2024. She claimed the injury occurred June 28, 2023, after she bought a ticket for her son to attend one of Hill’s youth football camps. The two connected on social media, and Hill invited her to his Southwest Ranches home for what she described as a friendly football lesson.

According to the suit, Hall knocked Hill backward during a blocking drill. She alleged he became enraged, charged at her and shoved her with enough force to fracture her right tibia, requiring surgery to insert metal hardware. Hall said she continues to suffer pain.

Hill denied the allegations. His attorneys argued that Hall assumed the risks of participating in the drills, that she tripped over a dog and that she waited several months before seeking medical treatment. During cross-examination, Hall admitted that she and Hill had consensual sex after the incident and that she stayed at his home for a few days afterward.

The case proceeded to trial after months of pretrial motions. A jury was selected Wednesday, and opening statements and initial testimony — including from Hall — occurred Thursday. The settlement came before the afternoon session on Friday.

Hill, a five-time Pro Bowl selection and former All-Pro, was released by the Dolphins on Feb. 16 after four seasons with the team. He remains a free agent while recovering from a torn ACL.

Neither side immediately commented further on the settlement terms beyond the courtroom announcement. Attorneys for Hill and Hall did not respond to requests for additional comment.

The resolution ends a civil matter that drew attention amid Hill’s high-profile NFL career and off-field scrutiny. No criminal charges were ever filed in connection with the incident.
