A seven-figure donation is insufficient to get entry to Michael Rubin‘s ultra-exclusive white party. The California Post was informed on Thursday by people close to Will Makris, a hotel tycoon and one of Rubin’s closest friends, that a member of Makris’ private members club paid $2 million for an invitation and a plus-one to Rubin’s renowned midsummer party, but was turned down.
The idea was actually mocked, according to the sources, one of them said that admission to the Fanatics leader’s renowned all-white dress event is genuinely “a money-can’t-buy thing.”
Every year, Rubin hosts the event at his opulent Hamptons estate, and only about 375 of the biggest celebrities and athletes in the world are usually invited.
Tom Brady, Kim Kardashian, Drake, Livvy Dunne, Kendall Jenner, Travis Scott, Derek Jeter, Odell Beckham Jr., and Rob Gronkowski have all attended parties in the past.
In an attempt to avoid potential problems with Taylor Swift’s wedding and the UFC’s White House card, which was originally scheduled for Independence Day, the elegant event, which typically takes place on or around the Fourth of July, was rescheduled for July 1.
On June 30, celebrities will start flying into the Hamptons for the celebration.
