Winning a championship apparently gives some people confidence. A little too much confidence.
A wild video making the rounds online shows a New York Knicks fan pulling off one of the strangest victory celebrations imaginable. Instead of high-fiving strangers, hugging fellow fans, or climbing a streetlight, this fan decided to pour water on a man who was simply trying to get into his McLaren.
Nothing says “I’m enjoying basketball” quite like bothering someone who had absolutely nothing to do with the game.
The clip starts with a man calmly walking toward his luxury sports car. While opening the door to get inside, out of nowhere, a Knicks fan appears with a bottle of water and dumps it on him. Just like that!
No warning, no conversation, no explanation.
The victim looks surprised, which is a reasonable reaction when a random stranger suddenly decides you need an unexpected shower.
What happened next may be the most shocking part of the entire video. Nothing!

The man didn’t yell, he didn’t argue, he didn’t chase the fan down the street, he didn’t throw the bottle back. He simply got into his McLaren and drove away.
Honestly, that level of self-control deserves an award.
Most people get angry when someone takes their parking spot. This man got drenched while entering an expensive car and responded like he was dealing with a mild weather forecast.
Social media users immediately had plenty to say. Some praised the driver’s patience, others questioned why anyone would think pouring water on strangers was a good idea in the first place.
A few viewers joked that if you’re driving a McLaren, you’re probably too busy worrying about repair bills to waste energy arguing with random fans.
The Knicks have given their supporters plenty to celebrate recently, but some fans may need a reminder that victory parades and public hydration attacks are not the same thing.
The good news is that nobody appeared to get hurt. The bad news is that somewhere out there, a Knicks fan probably thinks this was a perfectly normal interaction.
As for the McLaren owner, he may have delivered the greatest response possible.
Sometimes the best comeback is simply driving away while everyone else keeps acting ridiculous.
