Nikola Jokic has won NBA championships. He has collected MVP awards, and dominated basketball games while looking like he would rather be taking a nap.
But apparently, none of that compares to watching one of his horses win a race.
The Denver Nuggets superstar recently celebrated after one of his horses crossed the finish line first. And let’s just say, Jokic was very happy.
The Joker is famous for keeping his emotions under control on the basketball court. His team could win a huge game, and Jokic might look like he just remembered he left the oven on. The man simply does not do unnecessary excitement.
But put him near a horse race? Suddenly, we have a different Nikola Jokic.
Nikola Jokic has won the most prestigious horse race in Serbia for the 2nd straight year 🏇
'Delicious Gar,' Jokic's new star horse, is now on a 4-race winning streak.
Last year it was 'Demon Dell'Est' from Jokic's Dream Catcher stable who won the Dužijanca.

Jokic has been open about his love for horse racing. It is not just some random hobby he picked up because basketball became boring. The Serbian superstar has a genuine passion for horses and racing.
And judging by his reaction, it might even be his real calling.
Fans have joked for years that Jokic already has his retirement plans sorted out. While other NBA stars might dream about becoming analysts, coaches, or business moguls, Jokic seems to have a much simpler plan.
Buy horses, watch horses, and celebrate horses! Repeat!
Honestly, it makes perfect sense.
There is something hilarious about seeing one of the NBA’s biggest stars get more excited about a horse winning a race than winning a basketball title. It is almost as if the NBA is just the day job.
The horses are the passion project.
Maybe that is why Jokic seems so calm about everything. He already knows what comes next.
Once the basketball career is over, the Joker can trade the hardwood for the racetrack. No more chasing triple-doubles, no more playoff pressure, and no more reporters asking about defensive schemes.
At this point, the only real question is whether Jokic will celebrate his next NBA title with more excitement than his next horse race.
Honestly, we are not betting on it.
