Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton Throws Subtle Shot At Knicks During Wedding With Jade Jones

Tyrese Haliburton got married. He also apparently decided his wedding with Jade Jones needed a little NBA beef.

Because why simply celebrate your big day when you can sneak in a message for the New York Knicks?

The Indiana Pacers star recently tied the knot with Jade Jones. It should have been all romance, dancing and happy tears.

Instead, Haliburton seemingly found a way to keep the basketball drama alive.

During the post-wedding celebration, the Pacers guard brought out none other than rapper 50 Cent. Yes,  50 Cent! The rapper joined the party as the crowd enjoyed his 2012 hit “I Get Money.”

And suddenly, the wedding had a scoreboard.

The song choice immediately caught attention because of the Pacers’ recent battles with the Knicks. Haliburton and Indiana have developed quite the rivalry with New York.

Haliburton was particularly ecstatic singing the “I run New York,” lyrics during the party, where he was all smiles with his wife on stage.

The two were also jumping up and down to the beat of 50 Cent’s song along with the guests.

Haliburton and his longtime partner Jones legally married on July 21, at a downtown Indianapolis courthouse before holding their main wedding celebration and reception on August 1.

The couple dated for seven years after meeting in 2019 at Iowa State University, where Haliburton played college basketball, eventually getting engaged at center court of Hilton Coliseum in July 2025.

The wedding came after Haliburton missed the entire 2025-2026 NBA season after tearing his right Achilles tendon in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. The injury was compounded by a severe, debilitating bout of shingles that caused facial swelling, weight gain, and forced him to temporarily step away from the team.

So was this actually a shot at the Knicks? Maybe.

Was it hilarious if it was intentional Absolutely.

Nothing says “I just got married” quite like inviting 50 Cent to the party and letting him perform a song that can be interpreted as a victory lap.

Haliburton has never exactly been shy about enjoying the moment. The Pacers guard has embraced the spotlight throughout his rise in the NBA.

Apparently, that attitude applies to weddings too.

The celebration looked like a major party. Family and friends were there, music was blasting and everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves.

Forget the traditional wedding speech, and forget the slow dance.

Just bring out 50 Cent and remind your rivals that you are still enjoying the money, the fame and the win.
