A Crazy Altercation at a Cubs Game Results in 3 Arrests

Crowded baseball stadium stands with Cubs fans grabbing and pushing at each other in a chaotic moment, many wearing Cubs jerseys and hats.

During Monday night’s Cubs-White Sox Crosstown Classic, the bleachers at Wrigley Field resembled an MMA cage as fans beat the living daylights out of one another, leaving one man injured and three people arrested!

Before Chicago Police and security surged through the crowd to break up the fight, a viral video showed the mayhem in the stadium stands with haymakers flying, bodies flailing everyplace, and blood gushing from at least one fan’s face.

The police didn’t simply break up the altercation and flee. According to TMZ Sports, three individuals were taken into custody. A 41-year-old guy was accused of both criminal possession of cocaine (more than 15 grams) and misdemeanor violence.

Two other people, a 33-year-old and a 29-year-old, were charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass. The rivalry between the Chi-town fanbases is fierce, but even by that standard, this went too far. It’s unclear who prevailed off the field, but the Cubs won 7-5 on it.
