The Dallas Cowboys are back at training camp, but football wasn’t the only topic thrown Dak Prescott‘s way. Instead of breaking down defensive schemes or talking touchdowns, the quarterback found himself answering questions about his broken engagement with ex-fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos.
Apparently, training camp now comes with relationship drills too.
During an interview in California, Dak was asked how he was doing personally after the couple’s engagement came to an end earlier this year. Ramos called off their planned April wedding in Italy, with reports claiming she believed there were infidelity issues. Prescott has not publicly confirmed those allegations.

Instead of turning the interview into a soap opera, Dak kept things classy. He talked about overcoming adversity and moving forward. It was the kind of answer coaches probably love. Calm, professional and no unnecessary drama.
“I’m great. I’m blessed,” Prescott, 33, said. “As I said, I’m a follower of Christ and just having the faith that I do, it’s always been something, a super power in a sense that I’ve had is my faith. So, it won’t change. I won’t even say it gets shaken just because things happen or things dont’t necessarily go my way or the way that I thought they would. It doesn’t necessarily affect the way that I wake up each morning.
“I’m grateful when my feet hit the ground. I’m grateful to breathe the air that I do and to be where I’m at. I’ve got too many blessings to look at my trials.
“I’m just super thankful for the opportunity that I have to be where I am, to have two amazing daughters [Aurora 1, and 2-year-old Margaret, MJ] to play the quarterback position for this organization and still inspire so many.
“Adversity is going to come, it’s inevitable. And if you know how to respond to it, you can respond to it consistently, you can get over it.”
To his credit, Prescott didn’t dodge the question or make things awkward. He acknowledged that life brings challenges and emphasized focusing on what comes next.
For now, Prescott appears focused on football and leaving the personal drama behind. Whether that’s enough to quiet the rumor mill is another story.
