Chuck Liddell is claiming that Heidi, his ex-wife, kidnaped one of his children. This week, Chuck raced to Los Angeles County Superior Court to file an emergency custody order, asking for the return of their eldest kid, 14-year-old Guinevere, and full-time custody.
According to the former UFC fighter, Heidi kidnaped their teenager on Wednesday, just before she was scheduled to start high school. He claims that in defiance of court orders, Heidi coerced Guinevere into moving to Orange County.
Chuck Liddell claims that all of this began when Heidi recognized that her attempt to obtain court approval to relocate their two children, Guinevere and 13-year-old Charlie, to Newport Beach, California, would not be successful before the children’s autumn semester began.
He claims that Heidi disregarded a number of custody-related directives after realizing it wouldn’t work, such as not using the co-parenting communication app, using the kids as messengers, neglecting to bring Guinevere to extracurricular activities, and not adhering to the court-mandated custody schedule.
Heidi allegedly removed Guinevere last Thursday during Chuck’s custody week with “no intent to return her.”
He expresses to the court his concern that Guinevere will “suffer irreparable harm by missing her first week of school” and be expelled from her volleyball team, for which she tried out this summer in order to secure a seat.
Chuck stated that this will affect Guinevere’s mental and physical health and has produced “immense undue stress and turmoil” for her younger brother, with whom she is quite close.
In order to prevent Heidi from “manipulating” the kids, taking them away from him, or alienating them, the former professional athlete is requesting that the court provide Heidi only monitored visitation while the case is being heard. Until a hearing is held, he has asked for exclusive physical custody of both Guinevere and Charlie.
