James Harden‘s Texas gun case gets dropped. The dismissal request was filed by the Harris County District Attorney on Thursday. According to the prosecution, Harden fulfilled a “alternative resolution agreement.” The first to report was the California Post.
Although the terms of the agreement are unknown, a court approved the request and dismissed the case on Thursday, so by the time the NBA season begins in the fall, Harden won’t have to worry about the lawsuit.
On June 13, Harden was taken into custody in Houston after authorities said he had a firearm in his car during a traffic encounter. According to the officers, the gun was not in a holster and was clearly visible.
Harden was arrested, accused of a misdemeanor, and then set free on bond. Regarding the arrest and dismissal, he has not made any public remarks. Although Harden is a free agent right now, it is anticipated that he would sign a multiyear deal to rejoin the Cleveland Cavaliers.
