Oscar De La Hoya may have won plenty of fights inside the boxing ring, but his latest battle ended with his ex-wife walking away with some very expensive real estate.
The boxing legend’s divorce from Milagros “Millie” Corretjer has reportedly left Corretjer with two properties in Puerto Rico valued at a combined $13.5 million. Yes, $13.5 million. That is not exactly loose change hiding between the couch cushions.
The filing confirms Milagros “Millie” Corretjer was awarded full ownership of both properties under the former couple’s confidential divorce judgment.
One property is in San Juan and carries an assigned value of $3.5 million … while the other is in Rio Grande at Bahia Beach Resort and is listed at $10 million.
The stipulation says both properties were given to Millie as her sole and separate property … leaving Oscar with no claim to either one.
The reason for the new filing is pretty simple — Puerto Rico requires a certified court order to complete the transfers.
The filing doesn’t change the divorce deal … it just clears the way for the transfer of the two properties while the rest of the settlement remains private.
The properties are believed to be among the ex-couple’s more valuable assets. So while De La Hoya might have lost some real estate, Corretjer certainly did not leave the marriage empty-handed.
Oscar and Millie settled their divorce last year after more than two decades of marriage, with the remaining terms kept under wraps.
Oscar and Millie separated in 2016, but it wasn’t until January 2023 that he filed for divorce.
Oscar and Millie first met in 2000 … they fell in love, and in October 2001 they tied the knot. They went on to have three kids — one son and two daughters.
The 53-year-old appears to be happier than ever these days with Holly Sonders … they met at a boxing event she was working back in 2021 and have been together ever since.
The $13.5 million real estate figure is certainly eye-catching, but divorce settlements are about more than simply handing over assets. Couples can negotiate property, finances and other arrangements based on their circumstances.
