CeeDee Lamb was busy preparing for another NFL season. Unfortunately, someone else was apparently preparing for a shopping spree.
The Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver’s home was burglarized on July 30, with thieves reportedly taking more than $300K worth of properties. Fairview Police Department records show that Lamb was away in Oxnard, California, attending Cowboys training camp when the burglary happened.
Talk about terrible timing. Lamb was focused on football. The burglars apparently had other plans.
According to reports, a large amount of property was taken from the home, including a collection of expensive bags.
The 27-year-old Lamb had four luxury bags stolen. A worker noticed a broken window and called 9-1-1 on July 31.
There are no known suspects at the moment and an investigation is ongoing.
A five-time Pro Bowl selection, Lamb is the second Cowboys player to have his property burglarized in the last three years. Defensive tackle Linval Joseph was a victim back in November of 2024.
There is a trend, a long list of NFL players who have been targeted for similar crimes. That group includes Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
Hopefully, the stolen property can be recovered and those responsible can be identified.
For now, Lamb has enough to worry about with defensive backs trying to chase him around the field.
He probably did not need burglars running another route at his house.
Football season has not even fully started, and somebody already decided to make things complicated.
