Lewis Hamilton is enjoying Formula 1’s summer break. And judging by his latest vacation photos, he is doing a very good job of relaxing.
The Ferrari star shared pictures from his getaway on Instagram Tuesday. The photos quickly got people talking. Why? Well, Hamilton was not exactly vacationing like a man who wanted to stay unnoticed.
Kim Kardashian was also part of the getaway. Suddenly, Hamilton’s summer break became bigger news than most of the F1 calendar.
The couple has been keeping fans entertained with their high-profile romance. So naturally, a few vacation pictures were never going to stay quiet for long. The internet saw the photos and did what it does best: it started talking.
Hamilton appears to be enjoying some downtime before getting back behind the wheel. He has had plenty to think about this season. The British driver finished fifth at the Hungarian Grand Prix in July. Despite that result, he currently sits second in the F1 standings.
Not bad for a guy who is apparently trying to squeeze in some beach time.
Of course, the vacation will not last forever. Hamilton is expected back in action this week at the Dutch Grand Prix. That means the sunglasses will eventually come off, the helmet will go back on, and the serious business of chasing another F1 victory begins again.
For now, Hamilton seems perfectly happy enjoying the quieter side of life. Having Kim Kardashian around probably does not hurt either.
Hamilton will soon have to trade the luxury getaway for the pressure of another race weekend. Ferrari will expect results, fans will expect drama, and social media will probably be watching every move.
Until then, Hamilton gets to enjoy his break. And if the internet keeps the vacation photos alive, he may have already won the most entertaining race of the summer.
