Hayden Panettiere’s ex-fiance and daughter’s father has spoken out, offering a moving tribute that assures their child will always remember her.
Early on Tuesday, Wladimir Klitschko posted a nostalgic selfie with Hayden and their 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, on Instagram as a heartfelt homage. He described Hayden as “an important part” of his life and described this as “a time of profound shock and grief” for his family.
He noted the drawbacks of her notoriety while simultaneously applauding her accomplishments, writing:
“She built an incredible career through immense talent, while also facing the darker sides of a very demanding industry. Nothing will erase the times we shared or the place she had in our lives.”
“I will always speak of her mother with respect and make sure she remembers the person she was.”
Before concluding by wishing Hayden “eternal peace,” the Ukrainian boxer offered his sympathies to Hayden’s family and requested supporters to respect their privacy and grief.
Wladimir and Hayden dated intermittently for nine years before ending their relationship permanently in 2018. At the time, Hayden gave Wladimir full custody of Kaya so she could concentrate on addressing her substance misuse and postpartum depression. Kaya then relocated to Ukraine to live with her father.
