Coach Ben Johnson stated Monday morning that Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is “week-to-week” due to a right hamstring injury he suffered during a 9-3 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings.
Johnson stated on ESPN 1000 that he believes Williams will be out for “some time.”
Johnson stated:
“It sounds like it’s going to be a week-to-week deal for him”. “I’ve got to still talk with our trainer. We’ll do that here shortly and I’ll have the lowdown from him. But it sounds like it’s week-to-week but will likely miss some time.”
On Monday morning, Williams had an MRI to see how serious his hamstring injury was.
When asked if he thought the Bears had avoided a bullet since Williams’ injury wasn’t more serious, Johnson remained unsure.
Johnson stated:
“Yeah, potentially”. “Potentially. You know, we’ll see. He’s tough and he comes back from these types of things, I think, better than the average human being. So, we’ll see.”
