Bre Tiesi has apparently reached the “not my circus, not my responsibility” stage of co-parenting.
The Selling Sunset star is getting honest about life with Nick Cannon, his 12 children, and the complicated web of relationships connecting the family. And according to Bre, keeping all those siblings connected is Nick’s job.
Honestly, with 12 kids involved, that is a lot of birthday parties, family group chats, Christmas gifts, and names to remember. Good luck, Nick.
Bre shares 4-year-old son Legendary Love with Cannon. She says she has tried to build relationships with some of the other mothers of Nick’s children. However, those efforts have apparently been more exhausting than successful.
Bre says she would love to embrace more of the extended family. The problem is that relationships with the other moms have been “too difficult,” so, she is stepping back.
Rather than continuing to push herself into relationships that are not working, Bre says she plans to remove herself from the equation. She believes Nick should take responsibility for making sure his children have opportunities to know and maintain relationships with their siblings.
And honestly, Bre has a point about who needs to be in the driver’s seat.
“It’s not my responsibility to be entirely honest,” Bre said. “Nick has to step up, and he has to make an environment and support the children.”
Translation: Mom is clocking out of the family networking department.
Nick Cannon’s family is certainly not your average family setup. With 12 children across multiple mothers, keeping everyone connected is basically a full-time organizational job. There are schedules, different households, different personalities, and plenty of opportunities for someone to accidentally miss a family event.
Bre appears to believe that responsibility should ultimately sit with Nick, but there is another decision she seems much more certain about.
Bre says she is done having children.
Yes, Legendary can enjoy his enormous sibling collection because Mommy is apparently not adding another player to the roster.
Bre joked that Legendary can “go hang out with his 11 siblings” because “Mommy won’t be giving you one.” That sounds pretty final.
For now, Bre is focusing on raising Legendary and letting Nick handle the bigger family connection project. With 12 kids already involved, nobody can accuse this family of being boring.
And if Nick ever needs help remembering everyone’s birthdays, well, he might want to start taking notes.
