Delonte West Goes Full Business Mode On IG Amid Boxing Match Against Michael Beasley

Delonte West is not just preparing to throw punches against Michael Beasley. He is apparently preparing to collect business cards, too.

The former NBA guard has gone full entrepreneur on Instagram as he gets ready for his upcoming boxing match against Beasley. And while most fighters are busy talking about training, knockouts and fight-night drama, West has another message for the business world.

Bring the deals.

West recently announced that he is open for brand visibility, social media exposure, fight-week promotion and “meaningful partnerships.” Basically, the man has turned boxing “career” into a networking event.

And yes, he wants interested businesses and brands to slide into his DMs.

Nothing says modern boxing promotion quite like, “Hey, want to sponsor me?”

West has been increasingly active on social media in recent months. Now, with the fight against Beasley approaching, he appears determined to make the most of the attention surrounding the matchup.

The bout is scheduled for Oct. 16, 2026.

Beasley, a former No. 2 overall NBA Draft pick, is also no stranger to headlines. He spent years in the NBA and built a reputation as one of basketball’s more recognizable personalities.

Now, instead of competing for rebounds, the two former NBA players are preparing to compete inside a boxing ring.

Apparently, basketball wasn’t dramatic enough.

For West, however, the fight is becoming more than just a sporting event, it is also an opportunity to build his personal brand.

His Instagram pitch is straightforward. If a company wants exposure around the fight, social media content or fight-week activities, West says he is available for business opportunities.

That means the former NBA guard is not waiting for brands to find him. He is putting the invitation right on the timeline.

The upcoming fight gives him a natural platform, too. A matchup between two former NBA players is already unusual enough to attract attention. Add social media promotion and potential sponsorships, and suddenly the event has another layer.

Whether West’s business push leads to major partnerships remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: he is treating fight week like a business week.

And honestly, why throw only punches when you can also throw out a sponsorship pitch?

For West, the message is simple: the bell may signal the start of the fight, but the business opportunities can start long before it rings.
