A worrying update regarding his son, Jizzle James, was revealed by NFL legend Edgerrin James.
Jizzle James, who was recently fired from Charlotte’s basketball team, shared a letter from Cincinnati instructing him not to use the program’s name, logo, or likeness. On Tuesday, Edgerrin James made a devastating announcement, pleading for help for his son as he struggles with substance misuse.
James posted the following on his Instagram Story:
“Jizzle is dealing with substance abuse and is NOT in the right state of mind right now,”
“If you see him, show him LOVE-but DO NOT give him money, valuables, or anything material.
“You’re not helping him by feeding the problem. He wants/needs for NOTHING. Give him a hug. Give him encouragement. Give him love. THAT’S IT. Be patient with him. We’re fighting for him, not against him.”
Before moving to Charlotte with head coach Wes Miller, Jizzle James spent three seasons at Cincinnati averaging 10.8 points per game. In August, Miller stated that he fired James from the squad because of personal problems.
The school sent James a cease-and-desist letter after he made references to going back to Cincinnati.
