LaMelo Ball’s Baby Mama Ana Montana Arrested on Felony Drug Charges

Analicia Chaves, the model and social media personality known as Ana Montana and the mother of Minnesota Timberwolves guard LaMelo Ball’s infant son, was arrested Monday on felony and misdemeanor drug charges in Mecklenburg County, according to TMZ.

Authorities allege Chaves obtained alprazolam — the generic form of Xanax, a Schedule IV controlled substance — from a Walgreens pharmacy using prescriptions written with a doctor’s allegedly stolen DEA registration number and medical provider ID. The alleged conduct dates to Feb. 21, 2026. A warrant was issued Sept. 22, and she was taken into custody six days later.

She faces two felony counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or forgery and two misdemeanor counts of simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance. She was held on a $20,000 bond tied to the felony counts. Court records and TMZ’s report did not list a first appearance date.

Chaves’ attorney framed the case as one that traces back to a doctor, not an independent scheme by his client.

“To clarify, the charges allege that a doctor who used a fraudulent DEA registration and NPI number prescribed Alprazolam for Ms. Chaves, and that she used the prescription written by the doctor to obtain the prescribed Alprazolam at a pharmacy,” the lawyer said. “The drug possession charges appear to allege that she possessed the aforementioned Alprazolam upon obtaining it from the pharmacy via the prescription written by the doctor.”
