According to Paula Devlin, a juror in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial, Clancy’s ex-husband’s testimony may have had the biggest impact on her, while the lone juror who refused to change his vote may have been insulted.
Devlin stated in an interview with “CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King on Friday that the jury was more divided when they started deliberating, with eight jurors finding Clancy not guilty, two undecided, and two finding him guilty of murder.
There were three men and nine women on the jury. According to Devlin, there was only one member who belonged to a minority group, and the ages ranged from 22 to roughly 70.
Devlin informed King:
“I was leaning towards not responsible from all the evidence I had heard,”Devlin told King. “And I had certain things I wanted to look at when we got into deliberation. Everything that we talked about and every point that everybody in the room made just kind of reinforced that more and more.”

Clancy was accused of killing her three young children on January 24, 2023, in their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home: 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan. Her lawyers contended that because she was overmedicated and experiencing postpartum psychosis, she was not legally liable. Clancy, according to the prosecution, knew right from wrong and planned it.
After more than seven days of deliberation, the jurors were unable to reach a unanimous decision, leading to the widely publicized trial’s mistrial last Friday.
