At Husky Stadium on Saturday, Golden Gophers head coach P.J. Fleck ran up to linebacker Maverick Baranowski to celebrate the team’s victory over Washington on the road.
Before P.J. lifted his hand and wiped Maverick’s bleeding mouth, the two shared a hug. In the end, P.J. had a stain on his shirt and a bloodied cheek, giving him a Patrick Bateman impression.
P.J. truly put blood into the team’s “blood, sweat and tears” victory, according to FOX Sports analysts, who were rather astonished. Maverick said:
“I love that guy more than anyone, and it’s just such an awesome opportunity to share that moment with him” calling him “a crazy man.”
