Jazzy Davidson Steals Show At USC Game With Help From The Cameraman

Jazzy Davidson did not even need to score a basket to steal the spotlight at a USC football game. She simply showed up, smiled at the camera, and apparently caused one cameraman to forget the assignment.

The 19-year-old USC women’s basketball star was on the sidelines when an NBC camera operator decided to give fans a little bonus content. His job was to capture the Trojans’ women’s squad. Instead, the camera found Jazzy and suddenly developed a very strong sense of loyalty.

And honestly, can we blame the camera?

In a clip that quickly went viral, the camera stayed locked on Davidson as she played along like a natural. The guard gave the lens a kiss, flashed a peace sign, and then put a finger to her lips in a playful “shush.”

Then came the smile. That was probably the moment the cameraman realized he had been caught.

Fans watching at home were supposed to be focused on football. Instead, they got a front-row seat to Jazzy Davidson’s unofficial modeling session.

The cameraman was meant to be covering the team, but apparently, Jazzy had other plans for the broadcast.

Davidson clearly knew exactly what she was doing. She did not panic when the camera landed on her. She embraced it. One gesture after another, she turned a random sideline shot into a tiny Hollywood production.

Somewhere in the NBC control room, someone was probably asking, “Are we still covering football?”

Meanwhile, the cameraman was probably thinking, “Football can wait.”

To be fair, this was not exactly a difficult assignment once Jazzy decided to cooperate. She looked comfortable in front of the lens and gave fans plenty to talk about. Social media, naturally, did the rest.

Davidson has already built plenty of attention as one of USC’s exciting young basketball talents. Now she can add another achievement to the list: casually hijacking a football broadcast without even touching the court.

The USC Trojans came to play football, Jazzy Davidson apparently came to steal the show.

And judging by that cameraman’s dedication, he was more than happy to help her do it.
