Jim Harbaugh Claims Chargers Must “Address Everything” and Keeps Shut About Mike McDaniel

Jim Harbaugh, the coach of the Chargers, stated that “we have to address everything, and especially offensively” following his team’s 22-6 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.

The loss put the Chargers at 0-6 for the first time since 2000, when they finished 1-15 and Harbaugh played his final season. Only once, in 1975, has the team been 0-6. This season, which is the first under new coordinator Mike McDaniel, the Chargers’ misery primarily rests on the offensive end.

Following a season-low six points on Sunday and only 259 total yards, the Chargers reduced their 30th-ranked points-per-game average to 15.0. When inquired if McDaniel will keep making play calls, Harbaugh responded:

“We’re going to look at everything.”

“The job I’m doing, it starts with me. We’ll watch this and get with our offensive coaches”. “I see the effort, I see the work being put in in the meetings, on the practice field, and to get that to translate to the field is what’s necessary. Feel bad for our players, our team, our coaches, our fans. And [offense] needs to be addressed.”

Harbaugh stressed that the team must determine how to generate sufficient points. McDaniel is the sole offensive coordinator for Harbaugh in the NFL aside from Greg Roman.
