Following rumors of communication between their camps that raised the possibility of a bout, Ryan Garcia has placed Floyd Mayweather on notice. Garcia is opposed to a display. With Mayweather’s flawless 50-0 record on the line, the WBC welterweight champion wants an official professional boxing match.
Following allegations that Mayweather’s team had contacted Garcia over a potential clash, Garcia clarified his stance on social media. Garcia penned:
“Okay Floyd let’s see how much you love that ‘0,’”
He then added, “And no I wouldn’t do an exhibition I want his 0 on the f***ing line.” The increasing conversation around Ryan Garcia vs. Floyd Mayweather has taken on a new dimension as a result of the remarks.
He further wrote:
“And no I wouldn’t do an exhibition I want his 0 on the f***ing line. How much does he actually think he got left. I’m ready Floyd, remember you made this call. I’m just returning the favor. Offer is on the table. Accept or not, if not I move forward as I have been,”
No venue or dates have been decided yet. Floyd will turn 50 in February 2027.
