Back in November, we told you that Ole Miss may pull a major recruiting upset by landing Robert Nkemdiche, a 6’5”, 270lbs defensive end from Georgia who is the consensus #1 ranked high school football prospect in the country.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, not much has changed since then. “Yes, it would be real hard for me not to go to Ole Miss; that’s a family thing,” Nkemdiche said on Wednesday. “It would be real hard not to do that, real hard.”
Nkemdiche’s older brother Denzel made the All-SEC freshman team as a starting linebacker for the Rebels in 2012.
Robert Nkemdiche originally committed to Clemson, and LSU and Alabama (his HS coach played there) still remain in the picture.
You can see Robert Nkemdiche, and some of the country’s other top HS football talent in the Under Armour All-America game on Friday (5pm, ESPN).
