Katherine Webb is a superstar now thanks to Brent Musburger, the Alabama Crimson Tide and her relationship with star quarterback AJ McCarron. Webb who has risen from beauty queen to SI cover girl and covering Super Bowl was thought to be leaving McCarron in her rear view mirrors. Not so fast in the words of Lee Corso.
Webb was on the Ryan Seacrest radio show, and per Lost Letterman, Webb was asked “if her rise to fame would force McCarron to pop the question.”
“I knew in the first two weeks that we were going to be together for a long time,” she responded. “Love kind of takes over and you start talking about the future. So yeah, it’s definitely something that I want. I don’t see all of this fame — or whatever it is — kind of affecting how I feel toward AJ.”
Webb also hinted to something we all wondered and probably knew. Musburger whether at the request of ESPN or his own lusting asked McCarron if his woman would be in attendance.
“AJ told me not even a week ago — like freaking three weeks after it happened — that Brent Musburger had actually come up to AJ and was like, ‘So, is your girlfriend going to be here? Because I think we’re probably going to show her on television,’ ” Webb said. “AJ said, ‘She’ll probably be sitting with my mom.’ I was like, ‘AJ, why are you just now telling me this?’ ”
AJ may have some hope after all.
