Joe Flacco finished this postseason with 11 Touchdowns, 0 interceptions, a Super Bowl ring, and a Super Bowl MVP award. Sounds elite to me.
So now that the season is over, attention turns to Flacco and the Ravens as they now have to attempt to get a deal done because of Flacco’s looming free agency. Flacco was believed to be seeking top 5 quarterback money, and I’m sure it just got harder to deny him that after this Super Bowl performance. Flacco had this to say while talking to the NFL Network via Larry Brown Sports.
“(Baltimore Ravens owner) Steve Bisciotti told me that if this happens, I can go pound on his desk and really stick it to him. And I said, ‘that’s exactly what I’m going to do,’” Flacco said.
When host Rich Eisen reiterated that Flacco plans to “stick it to the man,” Flacco said he meant his comments “in a good way.”
“I love him but …” Flacco said of Bisciotti.
“I haven’t thought about [the contract] all year, but the year’s over now,” Flacco said with a smile, recognizing he’s about to get paid.
Give the man his money. He’s earned it.
