I know it’s the NBA Summer League, but any good showing is good news for your new employer. The Philadelphia 76ers traded away Jrue Holiday in the Nerlens Noel deal, and fans here in Philly were a bit on edge about trading away the teams best player.
If today’s showing by Michael Carter-Williams was any indication, fans here in Philadelphia have nothing to worry about.
Carter-Williams finished his first game as a 76ers with 26 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists against the Dwight Howard’s Houston Rockets.
He shot 8-for-23 against some NBA guys like Patrick Beverly and Greg Smith. Again it’s only summer league, but Carter-Williams might have a home here in Philadelphia.
