Mike Tomlin is a no nonsense head coach and likes to keep things simple.
Tomlin finally joined Twitter nation earlier this summer, and The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review notes that Tomlin follows a strict 53-man roster on Twitter.
When the Steelers trimmed down their roster down from 75 players to 53 over the weekend, Tomlin also cut those players from his Twitter follow list.
Most of the players released last weekend as the Steelers reached the 53-man roster limit were cut again — by coach Mike Tomlin, who cut them from those he follows on Twitter.
Tomlin follows only 53: his active players, a few who are injured and some team accounts. Not all players have Twitter accounts, which Tomlin plans to monitor all season.
Steelers players of course better be careful, because Tomlin is watching.
