This is actually a pretty impressive athletic feat by Cuyahoga Falls (Oh.) Walsh Jesuit High cheerleader Marie Klein.
According to Cameron Smith of Yahoo! Sports, Klein set a new Guinness record for consecutive backflips with 42 after surpassing the previous mark of 36, during her school’s football game against Lebron’s alma mater Akron (Oh.) St Vincent-St. Mary.
“It was crazy,” Klein told WalshJesuit.org, the school’s official website. “I loved the way the crowd reacted. My mom was crying. It didn’t feel real at times as I did it. I almost passed out, but I kept going. I am real excited to have the record. Now I want to break my own record.”
Klein, had her family and teammates all their to support her during the dizzying ordeal, and also got a shoutout on SportsCenter.
“It is so awesome I could do this with my family supporting me,” Klein told WalshJesuit.org. “My mom, Steph, my dad, Steve, and my brother, Stevie, all were here to watch.”
