Johnny Manziel is gold right now, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that marketing firms around the country lined up to get Manziel’s services.
Manziel wanted to fully maximize his earning potential, so he teamed up with one of the biggest earners in sports. Manziel and LeBron James are tied to the hip after LeBron’s LRMR Management firm inked Manziel to a deal before the draft.
Manziel while addressing the media on Wednesday, called it a no-brainer to sign with James’ firm.
“When you look at who the best player in the NBA right now is, you look at LeBron,” Manziel said , via Tom Reed of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “And somebody who’s at the top of his game and does so much marketing wise, so many good things, I felt like if I got the offer extended to me it was really a no-brainer.”
James is doing his part to give his young Manziel all the buzz he needs. The two have appeared together in a McDonald’s commerical, James was spotted in a Manziel jersey shortly after the draft and on Wednesday James had social media buzzing when he popped up in a “Money Manziel” t-shirt from Nike.
