Los Angeles Kings, Stanley Cup winning goaltender, Jonathan Quick will be out of action for 10-12 weeks, after having wrist surgery this afternoon, the team confirmed Tuesday. The wrist that was operated was not reported.
The 2012 Conn Smythe winner would likely be sidelined up until the Kings are set to begin training camp in September. This coming after a busy season that included an appearance for the United States at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
Quick had also just become the winningest goaltender in Kings history this past season, surpassing Rogie Vachon with his 172nd career win last March.
The fact that Jonathan Quick was playing with an injured wrist might explain why his numbers were somewhat lower than they’d been, however, he was stellar when it mattered.
He lifted that thirty four pound piece of hardware with no hesitation or difficulty. Isn’t adrenaline something else?
