Kyle Korver was selected as an All-Star this season, in addition to being a lights out 3-point shooter and solid playmaker on defense during the Atlanta Hawks journey to the best record in the East. He can now add another accomplishment to his season.
On Wednesday, Korver was selected as the 2015 recipient of the NBA Sportsmanship Award also known as the Joe Dumars trophy.
He is the first Atlanta Hawks player ever to receive the award and has been a great teammate on the court, as well as a team player for the Atlanta community. Korver finished the season shooting 49% 3 pointers, which led the league.
Korver beat out Anthony Davis, Pau Gasol, Nick Collison, Amir Johnson and Jeremy Lin to win the award. Korver had 87 first place votes to Davis’ 56.
