The alleged Louisville escort, Katina Powell claims her intent wasn’t to expose the school in a tell-all book. Rather she is claiming that she went to the NCAA first but was ignored.
“I called the NCAA in mid-March,” Powell said, via the Indianapolis Business Journal. “I spoke with a young white guy, and I was telling him that I had a story about a college that was trading sex and all that stuff for money.”
“I wanted someone to tell me who I needed to talk to. It’s the NCAA. They know everything that has to do with college basketball,” Powell said. “I just wanted to know who could I talk to … about what was going on about the college, and it didn’t happen.
“They could have investigated or they could have told me what to do, who to talk to or who to tell my story to,” Powell added. “They could have told me something. But they didn’t tell me anything. They didn’t want to hear anything — at all.”
Well, Powell now has a lot of exposure because of this book, but it is strange that she doesn’t give the name of the NCAA official that she allegedly spoke to.
