The mystery of this young NBA season so far, is what drove Gerald Green to have a semi-breakdown at his Miami condo that led to his hospitalization and him punching someone in the face.
Green returned to practice Saturday, commenting for the first time since his November 4 incident.
The embattled guard didn’t offer a reason for his bizarre behavior, but tried to offer an apology according to Sporting News via the Palm Beach Post.
Green says the situation that day was “an incident I’m ashamed of,” according to the Palm Beach Post. He added, “I’m deeply saddened by what happened (and) ready to move on.”
Green was suspended for two games by the Heat for detrimental conduct, but Pat Riley has reiterated that they believe in Gerald.
