Since 2007, XXL has been coming out their annual freshmen list, which introduces hip-hop fans to the wave.
As the game continues to distance itself from traditional hip-hop, it comes as no surprise to see fans criticize the latest freshmen class.
If you’re not too familiar with the new artists, some names that stand out to the casual fan are Desiigner (Future’s lost little brother), G Herbo, Lil Uzi Vert, Dave East and Kodak Black.
However, it wasn’t enough to please Twitter.
