As is customary for the Champ, the Clemson Tigers visited the White House today and presented Donald Trump with a personalized jersey while soaking in their post championship acknowledgment.
Obviously this tradition has come under scrutiny with the current climate of various social issues.
Texans Owner Bob McNair arranged for Watson as well as Defensive lineman Carlos Watkins, to fly out for the ceremonies.

DeShaun Watson provided us with as iconic a performance short of Vince Young you can have in College Football. Amassing over 450 yards of offense to go along with 4 touchdowns versus Alabama, Watson is a legend forever.
With today’s attendance, Watson has already drawn criticism. Let’s forget the fact he’s only now becoming a professional athlete and enjoying the last remnants of his college experience. Who are people to call out Watson for celebrating one last time with a Clemson team he led or simply wanting the experience of meeting the President after achieving a lifelong dream. Folks will have their opinions but many of these athletes are college kids in their teens living out one of the highlights of their life.
With the Warriors on the cusp of a championship, their White House appearance or possibly nonappearance should be something to behold. Head Coach Steve Kerr as well as Stephen Curry have been vocal detractors of the Trump administration.
