Lonzo Ball has not shot the ball well(no pun intended) in his first 11 games of his NBA career. The slump continued last night in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 107-96 loss to the Celtics in Boston. Ball went 4/15 from the field, which included 1/5 from three-point territory, and nine points.
Ball insists that his struggles have been all mental rather than his actual performance.
“It’s in my head to be honest,” said Ball to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman after the Lakers’ loss to the Celtics. “I know I can shoot the ball.”
Per Second Spectrum, Ball is shooting a dismal 29.5% from the field and 23.1% from three-point land. Ball will have the opportunity to correct his mental mistakes as the Lakers head to Washington D.C. tonight to take on the Wizards.
