Iowa Indoor Football Team Sioux City Bandits Cancels Their AR-15 Giveaway

Over the last few weeks or so there have been too many mass shootings that have happened throughout America.

The shootings have affected way too many families and whether you love guns or you don’t, it’s clear to see that we as a country have a gun problem.

After all of the mass shootings recently, an Iowa indoor football team has decided to put a halt to their Military Night where they had a promotion that was going to give away an AR-15.

The team is the Sioux City Bandits and the promotion was supposed to happen Saturday and was open to anyone 18 and over. They did say that the gun wouldn’t be given away to the person who won at the event because they partnered with a local gun business who does background checks first.

They did realize this wasn’t the right time though and put out a Facebook post saying

“American Brothers in Arms worked so hard on this charity. Timing is everything though. We will be postponing the giveaway this year. We will still be giving away the firearms training course and making our usual donation to veterans charities.”

That is a business who realizes that timing is truly everything and this would be the absolute worst time to have an AR-15 giveaway.
