How Knicks Plan To Celebrate 50th Year Anniversary of First Knick Championship

The Knicks have two championships under their belt and one of those championships, is turning 50 this year. The team will be honoring celebrating that victory on March 21, 2020.

According to the New York Post, the Knicks plan to honor the 1970 championship on March 21, 2020 as members of that 1969-1970 team have been inviting to participate in this celebration. It’s been a question that some have brought up since many do remember that it turns 50 this year. What the team plans on doing to celebrate it will be something grand to experience and it might just inspire those on the team to go out and get one next year.

The Warriors will be in town that night so, it’s a bit fitting to do it that night.

Here’s who has been invited for Saturday night’s events:

Team captain Willis Reed, who lives in Louisiana, is expected to be on hand to join MSG Network broadcaster/star running mate Walt Frazier, Bill Bradley and Dick Barnett.

John Warren, Mike Riordan, Cazzie Russell, Don May and Bill Hosket are among the invitees.

What’s left to wonder if Phil Jackson will be in attendance considering how he exited the Knicks recently.

The next Knicks title was in 1973, which is only 3 years from turning 50, too.

The Knicks face the Rockets on February 24, 2020 at 8 PM.
