It isn’t what you say, it is how you say it.
When Stephen Jackson said DeSean was telling his truth, it came across like he was defending the Hitler quote. What he was defending was the notion that racist people of all races and cultures have tried to hold black people down for centuries. You can say that without using Hitler though as your reference.
You have to be really specific in your thoughts in 2020. I am sure he knows all Jewish people aren’t against black people, he just needs to be more clear about that.
As far as Riley Cooper I would be curious to see how people would have responded to what he did in 2020.
Back then he just went to sensitivity training and then got a contract extension. I am not sure that would fly in the current climate.
