An Instagram model Janelle Butler in Atlanta has spoken out about being ‘completely disfigured’ after trying to remove silicone butt injections.
‘All the girls are doing it. It’s cheap,’ she said. ‘Call this person, they meet you, you can get a hotel room, they can come to your house.’
The Lawrenceville resident got what she believed were hydrogel silicone butt injections, happy that she was able to get ‘an instant plump.’
And with the help of TV show ‘The Doctors’, the mother-of-three was able to get the funding and had her implants removed in January.
But things quickly took a turn for the worse.
‘So within 24 hours after surgery, I blacked out and I was in the ER because I had lost so much blood,’ Butler said.
She soon developed necrosis – the blackening of the skin – which causes cells to die.
Butler stated: ‘The necrosis took skin tissue and almost some of my muscle all the way.
‘They had to take it down to my muscle, like, they had to scoop out the dead tissue.’
As a result of the implants and their removal, the necrosis left Butler with fist-size holes in each of her butt cheeks.
