Iverson On Steph Curry Being “A Different Monster”

iverson

You knew Allen Iverson wouldn’t be that former NBA star who showed some passive-animosity towards Stephen Curry for becoming the face of the NBA — with a game that’s not centered on the old-systematic way of doing things.

Allen Iverson was Stephen Curry once — catching the ire of every NBA legend before him — because of his crossover, baggy jeans and in your face bravado.

When he was in his prime, Iverson was the most electrifying player to watch in my opinion — using his speed, swiftness and handles to shake and challenge defenders while taking a beating for many years.

The same guys that are bashing or taking shots at Curry now — crushed ‘The Answer’ for his perceived disrespect to the game. Both short in stature yet dominant at their position, and Iverson loves Curry.

During the 76ers Inaugural Youth Foundation Gala — Iverson didn’t follow the status quo — instead choosing to be honest, and speak from the heart in regards to what Curry is doing to the league.

Back in 1996, Iverson was the monster, leaving point guards, shooting guards and Michael Jordan in his wake, on his way to winning Rookie of the Year.

Iverson — who won the MVP in 2001 and was named to 11 All-Star Games — refers to Curry as a “Serial Killer” all the time. I’m sure the reigning MVP will appreciate this one.
