Caitlin Clark ‘Embarrassed’ By Her Height During NBC Broadcast Debut

Caitlin Clark finally made her NBC broadcast debut. Big moment, bright lights, national audience and somehow, the biggest takeaway wasn’t her basketball brain. It was her height, or lack of it. Television is cruel like that.

Clark seems to have been “embarrassed” by how short she looked on camera. Embarrassed? This is the same woman who casually pulls up from the logo and ruins defensive game plans for a living but stand her next to retired hoopers and TV veterans, and suddenly she’s questioning her height.

Clark, who was recently named a special contributor for NBC’s NBA broadcasts, shared the set with Reggie Miller and Carmelo Anthony, along with veteran sportscaster Maria Taylor.

While the assignment marked a significant step in Clark’s off-court career, it was a humorous moment rather than her analysis that captured attention online.

Rather than commenting on Miller’s ranking of Clark amongst other basketball greats, or reflecting on her broadcasting debut, she focused on a more relatable concern: her height compared to her towering co-hosts.

“I’m going to wear stilts next time,” Clark posted on X, prompting thousands of reactions from fans who found her honesty and humor contagious.

Still, this moment just made her more likable. She didn’t get defensive, she didn’t fake confidence. She said “I’m going wear stilts next time.”

So next time, NBC will probably slide a box under her feet or raise the chair or lower everyone else. Because Caitlin Clark isn’t changing, she’s still pulling from deep, still dominating conversations and still standing tall where it matters.

And if the stilts do show up, ratings will go through the roof!
