The Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills delivered an entertaining Monday Night Football showdown. But apparently, the action on the field was not enough for everyone. Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson was caught throwing a punch at Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb during the postgame chaos.
ESPN showed video of the incident, giving fans a front-row seat to a moment nobody needed after an already intense NFL matchup.

“It’s just emotions, you know what I mean? Emotional game, it was a close game,” Chubb told the California Post. “They always catch the second guy, so I let him swing, and then my teammates held me back, and I just chilled.”
Chubb was also seen talking to Rams defensive end Myles Garrett on the field, but when asked whether the two of them had exchanged words, Chubb said there were no issues.
“Just the whole team. Like I said, it was an emotional game. Tempers flared,” Chubb said. “But it is what it is. We flushed it and we onto next week.”
The video showing Jackson throwing a punch at Chubb gave viewers another reminder that emotions can boil over quickly in professional football. Players spend hours battling for every yard. They absorb hits, exchange words, and fight through the pressure of a close game. Sometimes, those emotions follow them off the field.
Chubb didn’t mention Jackson by name in his postgame interview.
“Somebody swung, but hey, that’s not on me to tell who,” Chubb said. “There’s cameras out there. I just know, you know what I’m saying, I’m just ready for next week.”
Asked if he was OK, Chubb said he’s fine.
“I’m just ready for next week,” he said. “You see me, I’m smiling, I’m with my team. I’ll be ready for next week.”
Jackson may have had his reasons for getting heated, but the footage speaks for itself. The NFL will have the final say on whether the incident deserves further consequences.
One thing is certain: Monday Night Football did not end quietly. And somebody apparently forgot that the game was already over.
