Kobe didn’t look to hot against the Nuggets, but in typical Kobe fashion he put up a good performance.
His teammates on the other hand not so much. What you have is one killer on a team with a lot of desk jockeys. Kobe is happy to be getting his other killer (be it a crazy one) back for Game 7.
Recounting a most distasteful day of gastrointestinal distress, Kobe Bryant referenced the 1973 horror movie that came out five years before he was born.
“My room,” Bryant explained late Thursday night, “resembled a scene from ‘The Exorcist.’ “
Bryant fielded a question about Metta World Peace’s imminent return from suspension by turning a cannon to the talented temples of Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum:
“He’s the one guy I can rely on, night in and night out, to compete and play with a sense of urgency, with no fear,” Bryant said of the former Ron Artest. “I’m looking forward to having that by my side again.”
The Lakers will probably win Game 7, because history is in their favor, but if they can’t handle Ty Lawson, how are are they going to deal with Russell Westbrook?
