Huge setback for the Mets.
Matt Harvey has been weighing his options on how to treat his torn elbow ligament for almost 2 months. On Friday he finally made the decision that many were fearing, he will undergo Tommy Johns surgery.
Earlier it was reported that Harvey was going to rehab the elbow to heal it. Harvey was slated to do a 6-8 week throwing program to test the strength of his elbow.
The surgery will be done by Dr. James Andrews later this month.
Wishing him a speedy recovery.
