We may not receive the ‘Super Fight’ we once hoped for but a sparring session between two of the greatest fighters of all time is close enough.
Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva must be 100% recovered from that minor back injury because he stepped in the ring with light heavyweight champion Jon ‘Bones’ Jones for a sparring session. The two were in Las Vegas for the UFC ‘The Time is Now’ press conference and decided to use the time to get some valuable training in against each other.
Jones will defend his title on January 3rd at UFC 182 against Daniel Cormier and Silva will return the octagon to face Nick Diaz at UFC 183 after a year layoff.
The video of the sparring session has yet to be released, so lets enjoy these photos of the sparring session in the mean time.

This is something MMA fans would pay good money to watch. Hopefully a video of the sparring session is added to the UFC youtube page or uploaded to UFC Fight Pass.
