Before Sunday night, most of us just “thought” Washington State Head Football Coach Mike Leach was crazy.
Now, we “know” that Mike Leach is actually insane.
The State of Washington’s highest paid public employee ($3.5 million/year) Tweeted out a clear and obvious video of a doctored Barack Obama speech.
Leach went on to delete this Tweet today of course.
The video uses altered audio to make Obama—you know, Head Editor of the Harvard Law Journal, Barack Obama—sound as if he’s saying:
ordinary men and women are too small-minded to govern their own affairs, but order and progress can only come when individuals surrender their rights to an all-powerful sovereign.
Because Mike Leach is unintelligent, and more than likely voted for Donald Trump, he took the video at its face, without any further investigation.
Here’s what Barack Obama actually said…
Those ideals have often been threatened by an older, more traditional view of power. This alternative vision argues that ordinary men and women are too small-minded to govern their own affairs, that order and progress can only come when individuals surrender their rights to an all-powerful sovereign. Often, this alternative vision roots itself in the notion that by virtue of race or faith or ethnicity, some are inherently superior to others, and that individual identity must be defined by “us” versus “them,” or that national greatness must flow not by what a people stand for, but by what they are against.
If you’re looking for Mike Leach right now, you can find him on Twitter fighting with each and every account that is coming for his mentions for his overtly racist Tweet.
I know I’ve probably said this before, but at some point, we are going to have to give President Trump credit for emboldening these men to literally out themselves on the daily.
It’s truly astonishing.
Flip the pages to see the video Mike Leach posted, and a live look-in at Leach trying to defend himself on Twitter as “not being a racist.”
P.S. if you’re reading this Coach Leach, you probably should be explaining how you’re “not a racist” to the moms and dads of your future recruiting classes, and not Twitter.
FYI.
